Entry Requirements
English Language Requirements
All Students are required to have one of the following English language qualifications or its equivalent, before making an application through HEPS:
- GCE "O" Level English language minimum grade 3 or equivalent
- SSSCE English language minimum grade C (West African Students only)
- IELTS 5.0 – 6.5 score (Depending on entry level
- Certificate of Proficiency in English with minimum C grade
- TOEFL (paper based 570 minimum score / computer based minimum score 220)
- Holders of other English Language qualifications should verify with us.
(Some courses require more than one English language qualification)

Undergraduate Study
All Students are required to have one of the following qualifications or its equivalent, before making an application through HECUK:
- GCE "O" Level (passes in 5 subjects including Mathematics and English) and
- 3 GCE "A" Level with A, B or C grades). SSSCE (passes in three elective subjects at the minimum of grade C, plus Mathematics and English Language at grade C.)
(D grades may be considered for students applying for International Foundation courses) - BTEC (most institutions recognises BTEC qualifications as an alternative route into higher education, a specific level of achievement is required in units relevant to the proposed course). - Other International and Professional qualifications (most colleges/universities will consider all international qualifications for entry to their undergraduate programmes).

Postgraduate Study
Academic and Professional qualifications, industrial experience and professional management experience are taken into account in some cases as part of the entry requirements. Entry to Masters programmes requires a good honours degree (minimum 2:1) or the equivalent.
Most Colleges/Universities use different admission procedures when offering places for postgraduate studies, for more details about entry requirements, please contact us.
Mature Students
All Colleges/Universities will consider mature students (over 21 years of age), who may not satisfy the general entry requirements.
Applicants are considered on the basis of their professional work experience and capacity to benefit from the course.
Applications are assessed differently depending on the institution but previous academic achievements and relevant work experience are taken into consideration.
